Rounds Communitainment Platform Integrates Screenr Recording Capabilities

Rounds, a provider of live “communitainment” platform that brings video chat and social apps into one fun integrated consumer experience, announced it has surpassed 1,000,000 monthly active users.

The company also announced it is now adding recording capabilities to the platform in partnership with Screenr. The new feature will enable Rounds users to record and save meaningful interactions they create on Rounds, and share them with their friends and networks.

The recording feature is created following an outcry of interest from users on Video Chat Rounds. This feature can be used in a variety of creative ways, from holding and recording a chapter meeting at sister fraternities, to conducting live video chat shows with the platform’s random rounds feature, company officials said.

“Rounds has always been about hanging out with friends, meeting new and interesting people and just having fun together,” said Dany Fishel, the company’s CEO and co-founder, in a statement. “With this exciting new feature and the rapid growth of users who are enjoying the platform and inviting their friends, Rounds will continue to lead the ‘Live Web’ sphere for years to come.”

Rounds has launched its Facebook (News - Alert) application, Video Chat Rounds   that allows user community to fully engage themselves in meaningful interaction with their friends. The interactivity and entertainment value of the application has been the key to its offering and success, company officials said.

Earlier in February, Rounds enhanced Video Chat Rounds Facebook application with Random Rounds feature, which lets Facebook friends and newly connected members collaborate on and share video as if they were in the same room.

Rounds social networking platform boasts of more than 30 unique games and activities. The company claims that Rounds users are now participating in over 650,000 daily video chat sessions. Additionally, the platform also provides them an interactive layer that includes fun camera effects, changeable backgrounds, and a photo booth option to take snapshots with friends.

With Rounds, users can enjoy the closest experience to actually hanging out in the real world, according to Rounds officials. They can see and speak with each other, play games, browse the Web and watch videos in a shared synchronized experience controlled by both sides of the conversation as if the participants were in the same room together.
