CRM Upgrade Subject of Bally System Intro for Hit Group

By David Sims

Bally Technologies (News - Alert), a manufacturer of slot and video machines, casino management systems and networked products for the global gambling industry, announced that European gambling operator Hit Group has selected its Floor of the Future system for its Ethernet-enabled gambling floors in Slovenia.

Bally will install its full casino management and slot management systems products along with its iVIEW network for interactive player content to each of the Hit Group's 3,300 gambling machines.

Bally's product offering to the Hit Group also includes the company's new multiple language and foreign currency exchange capabilities. Full execution of the agreement for the Hit Group's properties is based on successful "go-lives" at multiple properties.

The introduction of Bally's system is part of "upgrading the system of relations with guests — CRM," said Niko Trost, President of the Management Board at Hit Group.

Hit Group plans to implement Bally's Business Intelligence product, a data analysis dashboard and data visualization tool connecting player data with individual game data, providing casino and marketing managers with information on how casino patrons interact with the gambling floor.

Bally has also partnered with the Hit Group and is providing professional and technical services to help the gambling operator develop system features and programs for the Slovenian market and its current regulations.

The company will complete its first installation at the Hit Group's largest gambling and entertainment center, the Perla Hotel & Casino in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, in the first calendar quarter of 2009.

Last November Bally formalized relationships with a variety of tech companies leading up to next week's Global Gaming Expo trade show in — where else? — Las Vegas, to showcase the concept of open architecture while building products into its vision of "The Networked Floor Of The Future."

In addition to its deal with Dayton, Ohio-based Teradata (News - Alert), Bally will debut TournaMaker, a concept to turn a casino's regular GameMaker HD slot machines into "roped-off" tournament machines on demand.

Bally has partnered on the project with Toronto-based Strategy9, a vendor of Web-based marketing, e-mail, CRM and database products.

The Bally tournament session server links the gambling machine and the tournament and player-management server technology provided by Strategy9. The two server applications provide all tournament services to the gambling machine during tournament play. These services include machine conversion from conventional to tournament mode, player enrollment and tournament game play and leader board data distribution to the gambling machines and overhead signage.

With a history dating back to 1932, Las Vegas-based Bally designs, manufactures, operates and distributes advanced gambling devices, systems and technology solutions worldwide. Bally's product line includes reel-spinning slot machines, video slots, wide-area progressives and Class II, lottery and central determination games and platforms.
