MTPCS has licensed TeleLink and Collector from Nashville-based
Equinox Information Systems, a global provider of software solutions for the telecommunications industry.
MTPCS’ GSM network allows for nationwide coverage, and together with its affiliates is providing nationwide wireless Cellular One voice and data services to customers in Montana,Wyoming,Oklahoma and Texas.
The operator will use TeleLink and Collector to mediate call data from cellular switches and networks. TeleLink is known for its ability to facilitate the delivery of call records. This task is accomplished by filtering and converting data to the appropriate formats for operational support systems such as billing and network traffic analysis.
Equinox’s Collector provides real-time delivery of call usage records. This solution was also embedded into the custom software solution for MTPCS.
MTPCS was searching for an application that helped them to gain better visibility into their call detail record information. Kevin Marshall, director of Business Systems for MTPCS said that both TeleLink and Collector help them mediate and convert all of their call record data into one standard data format. This format can then be imported into internal systems and exported to third parties, such as NRTRDE.
Earlier this month, the company announced
Americatel upgraded its installation of TeleLink to version 5 and deployed the software’s mediation functionality.
Americatel, a provider of telecommunication services to ethnic businesses and consumers in the United States, uses TeleLink 5 to mediate all of its call data for downstream billing system.
