It’s that time again the weekend is almost here. As we are about to head into the weekend, here are some stories you might have missed about Call Recording.

CallCopy (News - Alert), a provider of innovative call recording and contact center solutions, has released a new version for Discover, version 5.1. The new version went live online and comes with multiple new features.

The new version will offer enhanced interaction playback, personalization of individual widgets, and a brand-new dashboard. "This is a significant change in itself, but is especially notable since it came directly from the feedback of our most involved users," said Jeff Canter, president and CEO at CallCopy. "We always listen to our customers' comments and strive to dynamically adapt our solutions to fit their changing needs."

Vidtel (News - Alert) and BurstPoint announced they would be creating a strategic partnership to help make video management easier. The two companies are teaming up to provide recording, streaming, playback, and other management features by using Vidtel’s video conferencing solutions and BurstPoint’s Video Communication Platform.

"This solution is critical for companies leveraging cloud video for business-to-business collaboration," said Alex Doyle, Vidtel’s VP of marketing. "Cloud-based video conferencing, any-to-any interoperability, and WebRTC have transformed the market, allowing any size company to leverage video for B2B communication.  With that B2B focus, the ability to record and manage your conference recordings is a vital requirement, and we're delighted to showcase our joint solution with BurstPoint."

The two companies hope to release the technology as soon as it’s done in development.

Komutel, Inc. an enterprise communications company has acquired Novo Technologies (News - Alert). The company announced the completion of the deal this week. Komutel said the decision was easy because taking over Novo Technologies will allow it to extend its customer base and sustain growth.

“It is excellent news for our organization and our customers,” said Louis Turmel, president of Novo Technologies. “We are delighted to complement Komutel's offer, our customers will benefit from a wider range of solutions, all directly meeting their needs.”

This is the second announcement of an acquisition from Komutel. Only three months ago, the company announced it would take over Canadian telecommunications software developer, ConverTec (News - Alert).
