Enterprise communication software developer, Komutel Inc., has acquired call recording industry specialist, Novo Technologies. The acquisition will allow Komutel to not only sustain growth, but benefit from a larger customer base, seeing that Nova's headquarters are located in the greater Quebec City area.

Komutel CEO Richard Pulin said this acquisition will strengthen Komutel’s expertise in the contact center and call recording market, as well as extend an integrated set of solutions leading up to a more diversified service for its customers.

“It is excellent news for our organization and our customers,” said Louis Turmel, president of Novo Technologies (News - Alert). “We are delighted to complement Komutel's offer, our customers will benefit from a wider range of solutions, all directly meeting their needs.”

Komutel's portfolio includes call center applications, notification, mobility and interactive voice response. The company will deploy Novo Technologies' flexible and parameter-driven call recording and quality control software, both in the cloud and in the customer environment.

Komutel will continue to work in collaboration with MIRA foundation to ensure that its deployment techniques are environmentally friendly. In addition to battery recovery, the firm will continue to compost, recycle all materials and use remote software installation to reduce the usage of motor vehicles.

The communications company services the healthcare, public safety, legal, education, business and government markets, and will welcome more than 20 Novo Technologies employees to its team.

This is a second acquisition transaction for Komutel in the last 12 months.

In December 2012, Komutel acquired Canadian telecommunication software developer, ConverTec (News - Alert), Inc. The move allowed Komutel to create a new growth path for their enterprise, as the primary Canadian developer and manufacturer of PC-based attendant consoles and integration tools.

The amounts of both acquisitions have not been disclosed.
