iBasis Implements GCS' Dynamic Routing, Rating Management Solutions

iBasis recently selected the Dynamic Routing and Rating Management Solution from Global Convergence Solutions, Inc. GCS is a major global organization offering inter-carrier Operational and Business Support Systems for the international telecommunications marketplace.

The complete routing intelligence and policies for a carrier’s full network is centralized by the Dynamic Route Management Solution (dROM). The network can also use the intelligence on a call-by-call basis instantaneously with GCS’ dROM.

Carriers can administer all the facets of their back-office and network operations functions concerning inter-carrier business with the all-inclusive, carrier explicit toolset from GCS, the Dynamic Rate Management Solution (dRAM).

“GCS’ Dynamic Routing and Rating Management Solution allows us to unify routing intelligence, business policies and enforcement within the iBasis network,” said Katherine Doe, vice president of Commercial Operations at iBasis. “GCS’ high-quality solution provides us the features, functions and support needed to effectively optimize traffic through our network.”

A major organization in VoIP and IPX, iBasis is also one of the chief carriers of international voice traffic globally. Apart from global voice termination, iBasis offers pioneering mobile data services in its Mobile Matrix portfolio along with an LTE Signaling eXchange (LSX).

KPN is the parent organization of iBasis. The organization offers international long distance telephone calls and data services for mobile operators, as well as a broad group of voice termination services and data services like messaging, signaling and roaming.

GCS delivers software offerings to the telecommunications carrier marketplace across the globe. The company has its headquarters in central New Jersey.

Some of the largest and assorted communications service providers across the globe like Earthlink, Sify, KDDI and IBasis-KPN utilize the offerings from GCS.
