CTI Group Launches Hosted Call Recording Solution, SmartRecord IP

CTI Group, an industry developer of wireless and VoIP recording, analysis and invoice management applications, has announced the launch of a new pay-per-use call recording service. This new model is designed to offer the company’s traditional VoIP call recording product, SmartRecord IP, as Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)).


The pay-per-use model is well positioned to assist both enterprise and service provider customers in slowly acclimating to call recording while avoiding the significant burden of high initial capital investments.

For those service providers and enterprise customers that are reluctant or unable to invest in call recording technology, this service offers a transitional strategy. Through providing hosting services, CTI (News - Alert) Group can easily provision SmartRecord IP for both legacy phone systems as well as new VoIP phone systems.

Once it is provisioned, the call recording solutions allows calls to be billed by per minute of use. The customer buys a block of minutes and all of their usage is covered until they go over those minutes.

The pay-per-use platform allows the service provider to see immediate increases in ARPU while requiring no commitments or porting of numbers. The recent downturn in the economy has driven service providers to search for immediate revenue opportunities that require no upfront capital investment.

With CTI Group's (News - Alert) new pay-per-use service, service providers can offer a complete call recording solution easily and cost effectively.

"Our new 'pay-per-use' option delivers vital voice recording service to business customers under an innovative program that creates new revenue generation and commission opportunities for our service provider and agent partners," said Bill Miller (News - Alert), Chief Operating Officer, CTI Group, in a Wednesday statement.

CTI Group expressed a commitment to partner relationships and its recent pay-per-use call recording offering is part of its complete channel marketing package.

There is a channel marketing hierarchy feature designed within the pay-per-use software so that the pages of the call recording software can be specifically designed to reflect the images and branding of CTI Group partners, as needed. In addition, CTI Group offers white-labeled channel packaging for all of our partners and agents.

"CTI Group has proven industry leading VoIP call recording technology. We wanted to provide our customers with an option that will make their entrance into the VoIP space an easier and more cost-effective transition," said John Birbeck, CEO of CTI Group, in Wednesday’s statement.

Call recording is a technology often used in the call center to capture customer/ agent interactions, measure performance and improve training opportunities. For the enterprise, call recording can provide some of the same benefits. The challenge is that many companies do not wish to make significant investments to enjoy these benefits.

CTI Group has responded to the cost challenges in the industry with its pay-per-use software that can be delivered on an as needed basis. By offering the solution in a SaaS platform, CTI Group is better positioned to deliver recording solutions to businesses of all sizes.
