The call recording space was as busy as always this week, with several major product announcements and other industry news hitting the wire.
OAISYS (News - Alert), a business call recording and contact center management solutions provider, recently unveiled updated versions of its Talkument and Tracer products. Version 7 of each solution has undergone months of field testing and is now available to the general public.
TMCnet contributor Anshu Shrivastava explains that the updated editions of the call recording solutions provide public safety improvements and general performance enhancements, as well as featured aimed at simplifying the administration of the solutions. The company's suite of products is compatible with nearly every major IP business communication system, including those developed by Avaya (News
- Alert), Shoretel and Mitel.
In related news, OAISYS recently signed up as a platinum-level sponsor for this year's Mitel (News - Alert) Business Partner Conference, which kicks off on June 1 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The three-day premier channel event will give business communications professionals from across the Americas the opportunity to take part in hands-on product demonstrations and breakout sessions, as well as listen to featured keynote presentations and customer testimonials.
OAISYS will use the conference as a venue to highlight its call recording and professional interaction management solutions, including its Talkument and Tracer products. Mitel has made OAISYS its DataNet CommSource Vendor of the Year and its preferred call recording partner for four years running.
Meanwhile, Mitel recently said that it will make public its fourth quarter results on Thursday, June 30th. Mitel is coming off of a third quarter where it saw its revenue increase slightly to $162 million, up from $161.1 million in the previous quarter, TMCnet's Chris DiMarco reports.
Meanwhile, North Carolina-based VirtualLogger (News - Alert) on Wednesday introduced what it is calling the first screen capture add-on for existing call recording systems. Dubbed AddedVision, the new solution enables the capture of screen analytics and data from a call center agent's desktop computer. The monitoring tool captures emails, keywords, applications as well as chat and IM sessions, and then combines the information with the audio from a phone call to create a unified multimedia file.
VirtualLogger president Jim Veilleux said that the solution was originally developed for its own recording clients, but the company soon realized that it could provide the monitoring tool to organizations with nearly any call recording or quality monitoring system.
